To become (someone or something different):

Ex.

1.     It was a sunny morning but it turned into a stormy day

2.  Nick was a charming child, but he turned into a really nasty young man.

3.  It was a dull, wet morning but it turned into a beautiful day.

要形容小孩”登大人”也可以用的啦!!
